When Louis LeFleur established his trading post and inn on the Natchez Trace, he probably looked up at the stars for guidance. Today, stargazers from all over Mississippi travel to French Camp to visit the Rainwater Observatory. It’s a one-of-a-kind window to the splendor of the universe. It also serves as an educational ministry. The main bed and breakfast opened in 1986, offering accommodations for up to eight in 1800s dogtrot cabins that were moved to the site from Eupora.

Volunteering

On 4/2, the French Camp Academy Baseball team lost their away non-conference game against St. Andrew’s Episcopal (Ridgeland, MS) by a score of 15-3.
The church has maintained a strong biblical faith and conservative witness in the reformed tradition and has been committed to supporting the staff and students at French Camp Academy. In answer to much prayer, the church was dismissed from the PCUSA and received into the Associate Reformed Presbyterian denomination in 2007.
